Shiva One of the Major Deities in SanthanaDharma. Shiva Name Combination of Two Words One is "SHI" Other one is "VA" If you Combine both Two words We call it "SHIVA"means "Savior"simply we can say "Savior of the World".
Another Thing is "Lingam".Its also Combination of Two Words One is "LIN" Other One is "Agaman".Lin Means Destrocution ,Agaman means Creation.So the God Duty Is Creation , Destruction and Ruling.This Three Important Issues Handled by Shiva that's why Shiva refers to God of all Gods "Mahadev".
